Emma-LouiseI was intrigued enough by the cover and plot blurb to give this book a random purchase and soon found myself chuckling out loud at the author's witty turn of phrase and dialogue! His quirky and original ideas pull you along on a journey full of unexpected scenarios and entertaining characters.
MadelineBurt's prose is fast-paced, well-timed and laced with just the right number of terrible Nordic puns. I chuckled aloud several times and read it in 2 sittings. Warmly recommended!
J. StaffordAn excellent cure for the isolation blues! This charming tale offers an imaginative escape into a colourful and hilarious world of adventure. A sure fire hit.
MSDavid did a superb job with this humorous fiction. He mixes norse mythology names with a contemporary story, but what I especially loved in the book is that the author fills the sentences with humour seamlessly. Every episode in the book is a new adventure and gives you something, or at least a smile on your face.
One of the most entertaining reads I've had, a clever look at the culinary absurdity of modern food culture combining this with recipes, wit and an analytical look at why we eat certain foods. Rage Against the Cuisine is highly recommended!
